Design with a Story
Art is at the heart of The Gordon and even our design choices tell a story of reuse and renewal. Guestroom headboards are crafted from repurposed wood sourced from downed trees. Many of the supplies for our beloved Art Bar come from MECCA, a local nonprofit that rescues and redistributes materials for creative reuse.

In-room water bottles and glasses replace single-use plastics. Shower amenities come in refillable bottles and coffee service includes organic, sustainably sourced blends packaged in biodegradable materials with compostable K-cups.

Hallway and back-of-house lights are motion-sensitive, conserving energy when spaces are empty. Our plumbing design ensures hot water doesn’t sit stagnant in pipes, delivering fresh flow while reducing waste

We use people-friendly, non-toxic cleaning products for a healthier environment, because everyday choices make a positive impact.
Recycling & Reuse
We recycle bottles, cans, cardboard, glass and plastic, and our restaurant partners recycle cooking oil and use a laundry service committed to sustainable practices. We also return bottles and cans as part of Oregon’s system, and linens are donated to local organizations for reuse, like the Eugene Mission and MECCA.

Team Commitment
Sustainability means supporting people, too. Team members receive complimentary LTD bus passes and our property offers ample bike parking.
