Other helpful tips for
visiting parents and families
- For parking on or around campus, be sure to download the ParkMobile/Pay-By-Phone apps to ensure you’re good to go
- Always bring water! Spring and Summer can get hot, and while campus boasts some beautiful trees, shade can still be hard to find. Pick up a Hydroflask at Made In Oregon in the 5th Street Public Market to keep your water cool
- If you are attending an athletic event, be sure to bring a clear bag for your gear
- Some buildings are locked by student/faculty ID cards. If you are set on seeing the inside of certain buildings, consider scheduling a Duck Tour through the University vs. a self-guided tour
- Don’t be afraid to ask questions! UO students and staff are very approachable, so if you’re lost or have a question about something, feel free to start up a conversation with a friendly neighbor
